ABOUT US
We are a purely peasant Cooperative emerged from the Agrarian Reform in Honduras, Legally founded, with Legal Status on May 7, 1970. Promoted by Jesuit priest Jaime Prasdezaba who put in our hands a futuristic organization exempt from individualistic profit, left us an organization of equitable benefits, for which today we enjoy as a living testimony of peace and tranquility, each of the 60 families that make up the Cooperativa Salamá Limitada, of which 51 are men and 9 are women. Our Regulations and Statutes are governed by the Honduran Cooperative Law and we are guided by CONSUCOOP advice. We are also affiliated with AIPAH, FENAPALMA and U.N.C.
We are dedicated to the production of Palm Oil Plant and the maquila of crude palm oil CPO and PKO complying with the best quality standards. We are currently certified with the ISCC EU and ISCC PLUS carbon and sustainability standard. We are in the process of certification with the RSPO standard.
LIVESTOCK
Another area that we exploit, but on a smaller scale is livestock, where we have worked on the improvement of dairy cattle, starting with a considerable calf foot, so that within a few years we have thoroughbred animals or by At least seven eighths, because our stallions are almost thoroughbred, at the same time we have been inseminating to achieve our goal as soon as possible.
